Dear Jeet Kune Do friend,

If you are a big Bruce Lee fan and you love everything about Jeet Kune Do, then I've got great news for you.

You know that Jeet Kune Do is still very much alive and you know that there are still dozens of dedicated instructors out there doing their thing.

Different Jeet Kune Do approaches

Some instructors stick to practising and teaching "strictly" Jeet Kune Do, while others incorporate it into programs with names like "Core" or "Total Defense".

Some others have incoprporated their JKD into the popular mixed martial arts using high levels of Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and/or Combat Submission Wrestling.

There are also a number of reality-based fighting systems some Jeet Kune Do are using to teach law-enforcement and security personnel.

No matter what approach these instructors use, it's still some of the best martial art training being taught by some of the best martial art instructors.

A commonality is a Jeet Kune Do background whether it's from Bruce Lee himself or first, second or even third generation teachers.

The Jeet Kune Do Backgrounds

I've always wanted to know more about all these JKD instructors.

I want to know things like:

  • how they got started in martial arts
  • what it was like "coming up through the ranks"
  • what are the greatest lessons they've learned
  • did they have to overcome any obstacles
  • what are their personal or professional success strategies
  • what are their thoughts on the current state of the martial art industry
  • etc., etc.

I looked around and couldn't find anything that delivered the kind of in-depth, revealing insight I was looking for, in spite of the magazine articles and books, newsletter and DVD programs out there.

But there was still nothing that went behind-the-scenes and tapped into their deep treasure trove of knowledge.
